Inspired, or rather uninspired by the urban masses of people, walking along the South Bank in London this project was a reaction/ comment on the modern condition of our society, reflected in the consumer culture, urban anonymity and overall loss of direction.
How often do we actually manage to gain perspective to the everyday and see the world afresh? Where are we really going? What are we really doing? And ultimately: What is the meaning of us being here?
Difficult questions to ask one-self let alone others, this project was expressed in the form of a quiet protest, adapting the position of an urban cast away, a person who has fallen out of the everyday rat-race, and resorted to begging for change to survive.Three people, sitting in various locations along the Thames, holding a piece of cardboard with a message to the passing public.
