The aim of this project was to work with fire as a medium and address the many symbolic meanings attached to it by the local community. During a week of working and experimenting, a number of simultaneously moving fire sculptures were produced. The performance took place during a local celebration marking the beginning of kaamos, the dark winter season in the northern parts of Finland.
